WELCOME TO MY GALLERY

Kimberly Alifen is an artist and photographer who is Illinois born and trained in Singapore. She primarily practices drawing with dry media, such as pencil and charcoal. She has had some art lessons through the years but is mostly self-taught for about 20 years. Working with children and older adults, has opened her perceptions of how they think and experience life. 

 Kimberly has a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and an associates degree in Fine Arts (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts). Kim has won an award for a caricature competition and has worked on several commissioned pieces.

 My Art is inspired by the lines, curves and shapes of the female form and my passion for Anatomy. Black 

and white narrates my life experiences. I take to drawing to find solace especially when I am 

disheartened, and it helps me to find answers. The dynamics of giving and taking (in relationships) is 

personified by the shading and erasing darkness. Black and white resonates to me because it reflects the 

social norms and binaries in the world.
